Ayton supposedly available. Always been a fan. Although we got the Yak (probably) now.. he certainly seems like he could be a great modern center but he hasn't shown much improvement and sure as shit isn't being coached very well as they didn't even talk last off season and don't seem to like each other. Who's fault that is who knows. He's had some bad quotes in his time about working for his second contract so he could get this big pay day, and the impression is that he's not really trying to improve now that he got it. He was a massive player 2 years ago in the playoffs that bill Simmons was talking at the time like he might be one of the most important players to have on your team and put him as one of the top in the league. He certainly still has the potential to be a fantastic fit.

The problem with Ayton is his motor. Bargnani has taught me never to bank on that. Which was then further confirmed by Ben Simmons. On the other hand, you just don't really know what it's like in Phoenix and how he's treated; they, in being toxic can be the reason why he isn't playing as he can. Like it appears that Jordan Poole now has one of the worst deals in the league. But on a emotional level, how do you expect him to be consistent if the organization didn't do anything when Draymond punched him in the face. Imagine how much it would mess with you to be treated like a threat by someone who likely nurture that growth himself in Draymond. Secure a generational bag, get beaten for it, and have the guy not punished at all, and also then defended. I still sweeping that under the rug causes their road record issues.
Klay might also be washed next year too. Curry finally needs help and knows LeBron's plight. What a turnaround for the Lakers though - a historic case of addition by subtraction, trading Westbrook for depth.
The play-in definitely proved itself to be a success; if the Lakers or Heat win the title, the incentive to tank will surely be lessened. This would be particularly more so if the Heat pull it off.
Also.....Imagining the Sixers losing by another Game 7 buzzer beater makes me want it to happen again.

So, America loves guns more than any other country I know. Guns are generally legal. So why does everyone flip out when Ja Morant posts videos of himself holding guns? I honestly don’t understand.

I wondered the same thing and I believe it is because of racism, and the general perception of a black person holding a gun is a thug and gangster and the NBA is trying to avoid that label. White people with guns are patriotic.

Wow, are the 76ers ever crapping the bed. Embiid shooting 3-pointers. Harden firing blanks. Not a great way to end the season.

Tie game at 55, Celtics are on a 25 to 3 run right now and it's almost lights out for Philly. They even had 2 days rest for this game so I thought Harden would actually be good. Now what do they do if Harden leaves?
Philly gets 10 in the 3rd, down 26 going into the 4th. Embiid with 13 points on bad shooting, Harden with 9, Tatum 42...
Incredible to watch how little Embiid or Harden want the ball. They get it and just go into an action to give it to someone else.

The Boston Celtics demonstrate the duality of man. Tatum narrowly escaping generational slander to drop a generational close out game. Better than another buzzer beater, as far as pain to the their fanbase goes. Trusting the Process to STILL not even get out of the second round, even with the MVP on your side. But Doc, Harden and Embiid on that same team....is this truly that surprising?

Embiid is a choker. He can't handle pressure.

Embiid is a choker. He can't handle pressure. There must be something in that Philly water, because I've never seen so many players become allergic to the ball. Embiid and Harden in game 7's. Ben Simmons, too (although his problems have metastasized and now he's scared all the time). And Doc Rivers, apparently. Crazy stuff.

Doc has been fired now. Sounds about right.
How many teams is that now? Crazy numbers.

Goodbye Lakers, Nuggets run them out on the 4th again, up 3 to 0 so good luck. Definitely title favorites whoever they play against. I hope they win... Unless Lowry, tough to hope against him.

Holy fuck he's throwing in the towel on a do or die game at the start of the 4th. Sure they are down 30 but wtf are you saving them for?
Another coach is getting fired this year.

Denver and Miami are both on the verge of sweeping their opponents, just as predicted.
The list of worse games than this G3 for Boston over their entire franchise history has to be quite short, good God the Heat ripped their soul out and fed it to a demon and then flung it into the sun.

The way the Celtics will occasionally wake up for half a game or so is very odd.
But extending the series mostly just makes things easier on Denver I guess. Which I'm fine with.
Also, Celtics showing some signs of life increases the odds that they'll just change coaches and won't trade Brown (and, ergo, won't create competition for our potential trades this summer).

Sure looks like Miami is in trouble now. They don't have enough players left, they need a big Lowry game if they have any chance and it just isn't clear he can give it anymore. I really hope he can because Miami is going to crucify him.

Boston up 2, Jimmy about to go to the line for 2 shots. 2.1 seconds left. Miami with 1 timeout left in case they need it if it's a miss and a foul.

Boston challenged the foul for Jimmy and they ended up finding it's actually with 3 shots, Jimmy makes all 3 and Miami leads by 1 with 3 seconds left and used a timeout. Very intense game.

Jimmy Butler and Bam had terrible games and the heat still almost won. If they end up losing the series it's hard not to look at this performance and blame them here. This was the game for them to win.
Heat are staring down the barrel of a couple record books now, they just got first play in team to win a series and now might get the dubious first ever in NBA history to lose a series when up 3 to 0.

Watching Lowry blocking out Grant Williams at the end of the 1st quarter.... If only he was in at the end of game 6. The malignant firehydrant will not be moved!

Lowry with the triple half-double (5 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds). Plus-25 though, so making an impact outside his stats.
The only sadness I have is that Tatum was injured for most of the game. Would have been nice to see Boston lose with Tatum at full strength.
(Well, 20 point game with 3 minutes left, so who knows?, maybe Boston comes back).

Ya the Celtics lost on the first play on the game with Tatum rendered almost useless for the game and at the end of it a complete target on defense. White tried to keep it alive but they didn't have enough. Would have been interesting to see the game without that injury.
Denver I feel it's going to romp this finals.

I could see Miami mucking up the game enough to steal one. Especially the first game, after Denver’s long break. But hard to see more than that. 4-1 Denver.

Who's had it worse in the last 6 years or so? Philly or Boston?

When his team needed him most, Jaylen Brown turned into Worstbrook without a handle. There was one graphic during the same that showed he has 8 turnovers, more than entire Heat team (7) at the time. Please Boston, give the supermax to a wing that can't dribble. I never realized how much I dislike this Boston team until that series. I hate their style of play as a neutral, you must wanna pull your hair out if you're a fan. As a hater, I've been eating. Bucks slander, to Philly to Celtics (Lakers actually put up a fight). I don't know how Nuggets-Heat goes more than 5. I know, I know, but Denver is Boston without -questionable coaching -complacency -inconsistency They have nobody to deal with Jokic, let alone Denver's size across the board. Who's had it worse in the last 6 years or so? Philly or Boston? Boston has at least made it out of the 2nd round.

I'd still probably trade Siakam straight up for Brown. We need a top flight guard that badly.
