When I turned on game 6, it was 12-2 for the Celtics. Now it's 32-22 for GSW. A 30-10 run. Yay!!!
... Usually the opposite happens to me.

What a great win for Golden State. Four championships for Curry! What an amazing player.

Hate Boston (sports teams).
Pretty indifferent on G-State.
So, good job?

Just watched highlights from the G-League Ignite – Metropolitan 92 game. And, wow ... that Victor Wembanyama kid is going to destroy the Raptors next year (if we don't get some size). Just amazing.

Funny night in the NBA. Bulls spanked the Heat. Pelicans crushed the Nets (Val!). Jazz are stomping the Nuggets in the first half. Could be a fun year.

So we're in a slide and facing a pretty tough next group of games.
Are people hoping for another tank year at this point? Think we could get low enough for it to be worth it without banking on a bunch of luck? I'd sign up for a top 2 pick without question, but if not that is it worth it?

I don't think the Raptors are bad enough to be serious threat for a top 6 pick in the draft. I think they are a play in team or perhaps just out of the payoffs. There are plenty of good players on the roster, however the balance is way out of wack. Its been three years without even an average centre and since Lowry left the Raptors have had no guard depth. Assuming centre and PG are the most critical positions on an NBA team (and I agree) then it is not surprising that the team is in decline. The fact that they are competitive at all is probably an indication of just how good our wings are.
Perhaps Koloko solves the centre problem in time, but right now he isn't very effective. Ignoring the problems with shooting and guard talent is a bigger knock on the planning of upper management. Who's fault that is could be up to interpretation. A flawed long boi plan/execution? Nurse not developing his guards? Webster not identifying free agent shooters? Not drafting any shooters? It could go on and on.
However despite what some fans think, it isn't the fault of the players on the roster. They are playing hard and in many cases performing up to their abilities within the context of the position they should be playing. If a player is playing out of position and/or doesn't have the requisite skills to play that position at a high level, it isn't his fault.
Solving this requires coaches and GMs to get in a room and identify extraneous roster players that are not being used to their best abilities and perhaps trade some. I could name a bunch. Players I like too, but why have them if they are just copies of what we already have too many of? And bring in some players that can shoot and Nurse will play!!!

It was a fun experiment, but let's face it, it just doesn't work. Although I could see us performing like last year -- getting our act together and ending the year stronger. 45 wins or so. But then what?
We need shooting. We need better guards and a real center. And shooting. Also, some shooting would be nice.

Do you say it doesn't work just because of the shooting? Honestly I think this isn't a closed book yet on the long bois, it just needs more improvement from the youth that i think we generally expect too fast sometimes. The sturggle is needing everyone to be able to do it to a point and for obvious reasons we aren't there yet. If they can all get their shooting up to acceptable levels it is one piece that brings this closer to working. Bucket creation needs work as well, I think there is a lot of hope in Scottie developing that skill which is why he is given that task more now. Fail now to improve for the future.

Damn. Donovan Mitchell scored 71 points tonight ... the most by anyone in the NBA since *that* game (the one us Raptors friends probably shouldn't mention).

It's not quite God-mode Lowry of yore, but damn is Kyle having a good game versus the Hawks. Some great post defense, and really efficient scoring (27 points on 13 shots). Great to see.

So many great playoff stories lining up here. Could be Raptors vs. DeRozan, followed by Raptors vs. Lowry ... Or we could end up with Lowry vs. DeRozan. Really fun.

Well, the Heat were the 2nd-worse defensive rebounding team in the NBA, and, quelle surprise, tonight they're getting killed on the boards versus the Hawks.
Toronto or not, the next play-in game on Friday is going to be really fun.

Just finished watching Warriors-Kings game 1. And, damn, were they everything the Raptors are not. Both teams, relentlessly attacking, great shooting. And really fun to watch.
... Dear lord, I hope there are some big changes to our team this offseason.

Kawhi playing like old-Kawhi tonight. 32 points with four minutes to go. Clippers leading the Suns, despite Westbrook shooing 3-18 (effin' hell).

Jimmy Butler in this Game 4 versus the Bucks is pretty amazing. 53 points.
Lowry's defense on Jrue Holiday at 4:17 left in the 4th was classic, too. Just leaning his whole ass into Holiday, then knocking the ball away. (His steal with 52 seconds left was pretty sweet too).

Another great Lowry game, in game 1 of Heat-Knicks.
Golden State about to win game 7 with another awesome Curry game.
And in a couple of days, we get Lakers/LeBron vs Warriors/Curry. What a great playoffs.

Is it wrong that I love that one of either the Sixers or the Celtics must get eliminated in the next round?

I think I'm actually developing a soft spot for Embiid. I wouldn't be sad if he mad it to the finals once.
Oh, and one more Knicks-Heat note: Doris Burke was a great Lowry cheerleader in the closing minutes. Wonderful to hear.

The best way for the Sixers and Celtics to stick it to me is to have a dramatic, close series in which both teams can walk away proud of their performance. (...Instead of melting down, sending off disgruntled players in a fire sale and losing free agents)
Uh oh.

Good win for Philly. Looks like they're getting to the Conference Finals for the first time in over 20 years. Not bad.
And hopefully the start of a death spiral for Boston... One can hope...

Tatum 0-10 at the half?! How's that even possible?
Not sure what's more amazing ... Tatum shooting so bad and the Celtics still winning, or the Celtics just ahead by 4.
(0-11 now, into the 3rd).

If the Lakers lose a close one after LeBron throwing away that breakaway dunk, I will laugh and laugh. LeBron, you're old, just put the ball in the hoops. No need to showboat anymore.
Hachimura, on the other hand ... wow. 6-6 so far!

Thunder-Celtics was a hell of a game. When was the last time that a rookie made a debut like Holdgren? A great No. 2 that really helps unlock SGA.
Btw, how strange is it that the Celtics are so good this year without any real PER dominating players? Tatum is just 20.8 this year. Porzingis and Luke Frickin' Kornet are both a bit over 21.

Blake Griffin... Another top draft player that took an injury year that allowed them to get used to the game and focus on training with a professional staff for exactly what they need from then.

Wow, the Heat are really brutalizing the Bulls, even though there’s no Butler. I’m going to enjoy seeing them beating on the Celtics for a series, even if they won’t win.

Pascal not exactly leading the way in his first Pacers playoffs. Honestly, getting 2 picks for him might have been a good deal.
