I'm not much of a Wiggins fan, but I still think he is one of the better buy low talents in the league right now. Surrounded by better players and leadership he might settle in as a nice wing. At only 24 years old he still has time to grow into that contract. I wouldn't trade good assets for him though. I'd only take him if the Timberwolves are giving him away.

He may still be only 24, but I find it hard to get excited about a player who has either regressed or stayed the same in practically every major stat category since he was a raw 19 year old rookie. To me he's like a softer Corey Maggette who doesn't get to the line as much.

Wiggins should maybe try representing Canada for once in his life.

Yep. The Rockets still play the ugliest brand of basketball in the NBA. Maybe that's why there are so many empty seats for their opener.

Wow, Portland -- holding Harden to 13 points and just 12 shots. That's pretty wild.

It's now 98-94 for the Rockets over the Celtics, and I cannot explain how much I want the Celtics to LOOOOOOOOOOOOSE.
Stupid Celtic winning streak. I'd like to put some space between us while we can.

Giannis starting the NBA season with a 13-point, 8-rebound opening quarter (and 1 block and 1 assist). So, yeah, I think we know who the reigning champ is.

Celtics just stomped the Heat, despite getting close to nothing from Tatum. What a weird team.

Sometimes you have an off night and Lowry had to leave before the end of the game. Critics still only got 95 points so it feels more like the heat just couldn't score this game for whatever reason.
Also that's got nothing on the Lakers losing again to the thunder, now 0-2, after blowing another 19 point lead. Both games without LeBron. They have a very easy schedule right now and can't win with 2 guys on the top 75 all time list in their prime.
Side note: neither of those guys should be on that list.

I didnt watch it but that Celtics had a strange boxscore. Three quarters were even but in the 2nd quarter the Heat got outscored 33-9.
As for the Lakers, Ive never been impressed with Davis, I think without Lebron, the Lakers would win about as much as the Pelicans did with Davis.

Davis seems to be massively overrated to me. He had all the potential to be that dominant but he doesn't seem to be. As you said he's not exactly carrying any team. Throughout the entire Lakers run so far if LeBron is off the floor and Davis is on the Lakers are not very good. His 3pt percentage is actually pretty terrible but you think it's not and I think his mid range isn't great either. He basically very good at getting to the rim and getting to the line that way and defending as a mobile big man. He's very good but he's not an MVP candidate I don't think.

I felt like someone had to call attention to Ja Morant's two-handed block last night. Easily the most amazing play I've seen in the NBA this season. Just wow.

Ja Morant has really taken 3 steps this year. Guy is playing some great ball. All-star level.

Yeah, I was worried he was more of a Trae Young type (not a compliment). I never expected him to get so much better, so fast.
2019 - 17.4 PER 2020 - 16.7 PER 2021 - 25.2 PER
3pt% way up, and defense up too. Very impressive.

Watching the Nets stomp the 76ers now (sans Simmons) ... hot damn, is this a great team. Turns out, a healthy Durant and an active Irving (plus a giant list of the NBA's best 2nd bananas from a couple of years ago) make for awesome basketball.

Just watched that 32-point 3rd quarter for Karl Anthony-Townes. And it was ... odd. I barely noticed he was running up the score for most of the quarter, until he got to 20 points or so. Impressive, at any rate.

Midway through the second quarter of the Nets-Cavs playin game, Durant and Irving are 10-10. The rest of the Nets are 9-22 … not great but not abysmal. Looks like the Nets could be the sleeping giant everyone was warning of.

Kyrie now 10-10 all by himself (Durant down to 5-8). Kind of amazing what taking 80% of the year off can do for your game.

Meanwhile over in Minneapolis ... midway through the second quarter, Norman Powell is the Clippers' leading scoring, with 14. 4-4! Go, Norm~

Looks like the Nets could be the sleeping giant everyone was warning of. I don't think so based on the second half of your bit, the rest of the team is 9 for 22. That team has a lot of troubles behind those 2. I like Curry but that's about it. They are going to have troubles against Boston.

Wow. What an amazing win for the Bucks. What an amazing last couple of minutes. Giannis is incredible — draining a 3 with less than 2 minutes left and blood running down his face! (And the intensity of both teams is pretty amazing ... but so happy to see the Celtics lose like that).

Loving this Warriors-Mavericks game. There's been some excellent stuff from both teams, but Curry is really nailing some incredible shots.

Midway through the 3rd quarter, and the Celtic are ahead by 30 points, despite shooting only 38%. Fortunately for them, the Heat are somehow shooting just 24% — and that's with Oladipo shooting 5-7. Without him, the team would be shooting 9-52 ... under 20%!! Kind of amazing.

I slowed that dunk down and you have to search for the foul. Wiggins hand is clearly out for balance, Luca essential hit him in the hand with his face. That would be a foul on Luca. Also Luca was not straight up but but passing through the lane so no position either. BS call.
