Dennis Schroeder turned down 84 million and no one understood why at the time. Now he is struggling to find anyone interested in paying him, seems like he's going to be lucky to get half 84.

Nerlens Noel, Oladipo and now him. Mans who moronically turned down getting their bag. At least Oladipo was legitimately a max player at one point though, I guess.

Most casual watchers said he was stupid to turn down the offered contract. This is one of those fire your agent moments. Schroeder may be stupid but that is why you hire an agent. He's supposed to gauge the market for you and keep you informed with an honest and educated opinion.

This situation might be so bad that you might want to fire him as your agent even if your not Dennis Schroeder.

I got in a big argument back in March with someone on realGM who called me an idiot when I said Oladipo would most likely sign a 1+1 MLE with a contender; he said there's no way an all-star like Oladipo would sign a short term cheaper contract. I was petty enough to message him back again recently when Oladipo signed for the vet min instead.

Sadly no, but I'm not surprised, I don't check notifications on realGM very often so I might not realize someone responded to me until months later

Not sure if people missed this here but i didn't see it mentioned. Did you see the report from Ramona Shelbourne that when Kawhi was deciding where to play in 2019 he got a call from Westbrook asking him to team up on the Clippers. Kawhi then called PG and told him as much as PG was very upset about it considering he thought Westbrook and him had a bond and were in this together and is the whole reason he didn't sign the off season before to go to LA in the first place and instead stayed in OKC. PG rightfully said fuck that to being left alone in OKC and got out real quick with Kawhi. The story at the time seemed to always be about how Westbrook decided to stay in OKC and PG bailed, and that after no one was going to be upset about Westbrook finally requesting a trade after PG left because he stayed as long as they could and were starting a rebuild. The truth is Westbrook tried to bail and caused the whole thing to crumble around him. www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/31937985/how-two-phone-calls-two-years-apart-led-los-angeles-lakers-landing-russell-westbrookStupid NBA Insider thing I would never join so can't read the whole thing, but it was talked about on the Lowe Post which is the best basketball podcast you could listen to. www.cbssports.com/nba/news/russell-westbrook-wanted-to-team-up-with-then-free-agent-kawhi-leonard-on-the-clippers-in-2019-per-report/

Really enjoying the whole 76ers crumble. For anyone thinking tanking is the easy solution, no one did it better or harder than Philly and look where it got them. This team acted like they won everything already and now they are in very dire straights getting pennies on the dollar for Simmons would mean no title window and no money to get there anymore while Embiid's health hangs in the balance.
Now OKC is going for the tanking title but so far it only seems to be good to drive their only player of value away in Shai. Can't imagine he wants to stick around with that, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up taking the Qualifying offer to leave although I'm sure they will offer him the max to keep him because they have no money on the books ever so it's worth it for sure for them.

BOS and PHI really have held onto their assets and over valued them. Both teams could have made some big splashes but they decided that their pieces are like gold.

It certainly makes me even more impressed by San Antonio’s Tim Duncan era. 20 years of winning and avoiding drama. Amazing how hard it is to build something good … and even harder to maintain it.
(I guess that makes Ujiri’s time with the Raptors more impressive too. Yeah, there was some drama. But mostly winning and good vibes).

Denver Nuggets are signing Michael Porter Jr to at 5 year designated max of potentially over 200 million. Wtf. This guy is not that.

Maybe it's so they can trade him for Simmons? That would be a great deal for Denver.

You know, I listened to Jonathan Isaac, who is also not (at the time) vaccinated. He was well spoken. Didn't really spew any nonsense garbage, was pretty composed and came off well versed.
I don't agree with his choice but I can somewhat respect a person who goes about it the way he did.
This isn't a "I support him" comment*

I get what you're saying, but I can't get there myself. I don't respect or support anyone who doesn't get vaccinated for whatever their reasons (unless explicitly told not to get it by a qualified doctor and they actually wanted to get it otherwise). I'm so done with all this shit and we have the solution to get back to normal right here and stupid people are ruining it for the rest of us. Doctors and Nurses are leaving hospitals (quitting/retiring early/transferring) because it's a fucking shit show there for like 1.5 years straight. Supply chains for everything all over the world are breaking down as it is something that can not be managed anymore. All fixable if morons just stopped reading facebook as if it's a qualified doctor talking to them. Fuck them.

NBA: Michael Porter, how would you like $200 million? MP: Awesome! Thanks! NBA: But first, you need to take this important and very safe vaccine. MP: Oh, I dunno. I'm not comfortable with the vaccine. NBA: Comfortable?
