I'm a casual jersey collector, solely Raptors. My collection isn't great by any means, but the Mitchell and Ness throwbacks are appealing, but a bit pricey for the authentics.
Speaking of authentics, i wanted to buy an authentic Raps red icon edition jersey that Fanatics sell that you can customize, but they refuse to customize it for Leonard and no. 2! Pretty ridiculous. I guess it's from people buying and selling at a mark up?
I don't like how there's so many different current jerseys out this year: white dinos, city, etc. But if these jerseys are limited edition like the city edition ones last year (which i can not find anywhere to buy, except knock offs on amazon and ebay), might be worth picking one up.
A couple that i like from my collection:
- authentic Bosh jersey from back in the day - Powell Chinese new year jersey - Amir Johnson jersey - purple dino Carter jersey that i bought in China about 5 years ago. probably a knock-off, but i can't tell the difference between this one and a real authentic. Only down point is that it's a XXL
Anyone else collect or have interesting jerseys?
And if anyone knows where to buy a legit Leonard jersey, please let me know!

I have one Raps jersey I bought at a regular season Raps game about 12 years ago. The arena store listed jerseys for Bosh, Anthony Parker, Calderon, Bargnani and Jamario Moon. Obviously I tried to get Bosh first but they were sold out in my size. Asked next for Anthony Parker, same thing, sold out. Even asked for a Calderon, because back then I was firmly Team Calderon and hadn't grown sick of his matador defense.
Basically it came down to Bargnani or Jamario Moon for available jerseys. I was more optimistic about Bargnani back then, but I was a bit worried because he was going through a bit of a sophomore slump (I didn't realize back then it was more than a slump, and that he actually just sucked). But what if he turned out to be the face of the franchise? I'd feel pretty dumb for passing up his jersey for a gimmicky role player. I decided Moon seemed like a fun story so I bought the Moon jersey, and I'm super happy in retrospect. A Jamario Moon jersey at least feels like a fun, ironic throwback. I'd definitely wear it to a Raptors game now. But a Bargnani jersey would just be sad.

Am I a true fan?
I don't own a single Raps jersey.
I own a Steve Nash Suns jersey and that's it.
I've never really had a player I've wanted desperately as a jersey. I like the team as a whole and Lowry and Leonard are great options (despite his 1 year).
Maybe I just need an iconic jersey like Hoffa.

That would be a great night: A bunch of us buy scrub Raptors jerseys and go to a game.

I'll buy a Lonnie Baxter jersey if someone else rocks the Robert Archibald. For some reason I thought they were called the "Bash Bros" but google tells me they were called the "Banger Bros," which is infinitely worse. I also didn't realize Robert Archibald died a couple weeks ago; R.I.P.

My Jersey claim to fame that I love is the Lowry all Star Jersey from Toronto. Beauty Jersey with the Toronto skyline on the back. Best part is I won a bet to get it so it was free for me. Now that thing is basically a jersey you can wear to any game forever, never go out of style with the Lowry best ever Raptors to go along with it.

So I grabbed a M&N hardwood classic 99-00 swingman Oakley jersey during their father's day sale (and it just got delivered), and I'm pretty impressed. The material is identical to the authentics, and the only real difference is the letters and numbers are ironed on instead of being stitched. Even the iron ons are really quality. Definitely loving this purchase, especially with a 30% discount down to $97US.
Pre-COVID, i treated myself to a Leonard jersey. I contacted Real Sports and got them to make one up for me (authentic black icon jersey). Pricey, but I wanted a jersey from the first championship year.
Interestingly, since Carter announced his retirement, all his jerseys went OFF sale. M&N released a Carter retirement jersey (which can only be purchased at Real Sports), but i'm on the fence of whether i like it or not.
Side note: Realsports was also selling an M&N/BAPE Raps jersey for $500!!!! Ridiculous!!

Our City Jerseys this season are disappointing. Basically the same as last year.

I'm torn. On the one hand I like the fact that Raps new City Jerseys are understated and look like something I could wear as a fan without embarrassing myself. And even though it's really similar to last year's design, I like it a little bit better without the weird diagonal arches in the middle. It might not be something really unique and interesting like the Miami City Jersey this year, but on the other hand at least it's not dumb and loud and embarrassing like the Cavs' jersey, or just boring like the Wizards' jersey.
Edit: Cav's 19-20 jersey is really good and Cav's 20-21 jersey looks like a kid trying to make an early 2000s nu-metal album cover with a bad clipart in MS Paint. Might be the single biggest drop-off in terms of quality of design.
I like how Larry Nance Jr. looks confident in last year's jersey and just kind of embarrassed in this year's jersey

Real Sports just had an online jersey auction, for game worn jerseys from the bubble (with the Black Lives Matters statements on them). Lowry's went for something like $5Gs, even guys like Brissett went for $500. I got out bid big time, and i'm glad as i got a bit carried away in the final couple of hours.
