Couple juggernauts meeting each other tonight. Raps at home should take this one even without Barnes. I'm not even sure who is on the Hornets these days.
Couple roster notes. Freedom Liberty was signed to a full NBA contract. I like him, but a bit strange since he hasn't played at all. Carlton was signed to a 2 way.
Brown is out tonight. More minutes for guys I actually want to see play.

Something to be said for Carton. 5 points, took a charge. Not very athletic but seems to think the game a bit which is critical for a PG.
Other than that the Raps look pretty bad. This should be a game for Poeltl to make an impact but unfortunately I dont think he has that gear. Probably the most disappointing thing about Poeltl is that though he can be reasonably effective against top players, he doesn't often dominate lesser players.

Barrett is playing well. Too many turnovers but that is to be expected when trying to step up his creativity without Barnes. Hopefully that will sort itself out in time. Might even make him a better player.
Interesting thing about Agbaji is that if he could emulate Barrett he has a chance to be very good. They have a lot of similarities in body type and skillet. Agbaji just needs to smooth out the rough edges. He has a lot of them.

A lot of uncertain offense in the final 5 minutes. We've seen this before since Siakam was traded. You need good solid half court execution to close out a win. I put that on Darko. He has to establish who and where the shots should be going to. More deliberate play selection and then Quickley has to implement it.
Anyway its a win despite being a nailbiter at the end.

But Toronto did win, even without Barnes. Can we finish off the season strong like we did in 2002? (When Carter stopped playing and we went 12-2).
(I mean, highly unlikely ... but I'm pretty much resigned to anything for the rest of this season).
