Going for three wins in a row and a pizza party. Not exactly sure why that's an incentive when you are rich enough to have steak or anything else every night, but I guess its something free. In tough though on the road against a better team.

Agbaji is kinda growing on me. I still don't know if he's a rotation worthy talent but he gives the Raps some juice. He's athletic, strong, tough. He and Barrett don't mind a physical game and the Raps have been a little soft in recent seasons IMO.

Based on this game I'm glad the Raps never managed to acquire Turner despite the many rumors the past few seasons. He's an awful defender. Poelt almost has his full game stats in the first half.
I know the Pacers are exciting, better than the Raps, and kind trending, but they look just a little like fools gold. So bad defensively. Haliburton is going to have to develop into an MVP caliber player for them to be any sort of playoff threat.

In tough though on the road against a better team. It confuses me, not so much for the money, but the nutrition. Shouldn't the coaching staff be encouraging these guys to eat right? We need to get Steve Nash or Chris Paul on the team, if only as nutritionists.

That was a nice little run for the Raptors halfway through the 3rd. Some good defense. Some nice passing. Raptors up by 12.

One of those bad-Gary games. Ugh. Looking forward to not seeing him wearing a Raptors jersey next year.

Barrett has 24 points? How did that happen?
Another excellent Gradey game. Quickley pretty good. Triple double for Scottie. Not a bad game at all. Lots of fun.

They've been protecting Barretts knee but I sure wish he could play every night. He's playing really well. If anyone is still waiting for him to turn into a pumpkin they may be waiting a long time.
Nice efforts off the bench from both Agbaji and Dick. I particularly like Dicks rebounding. Couple nice assists too. He's starting to develop some all round attributes. If his shooting settles in, then he's a starter possibly as soon as next season.

Ok, I guess it's time to buy-in to the play-in... tank nation is leaving the station.

It's probably neither, but perhaps more entertaining basketball is something positive too? I sure prefer watching young talent improve than stagnant duds.

Totally agree about Dick. He's got a great motor and very good ball instincts. He's already better than GTJ at rebounding and assists and going to the FT line (per 36 min). He's showing some quality potential.

We need to get Steve Nash or Chris Paul on the team, if only as nutritionists. My guess is that was the incentive. The Raps are normally fed nutrition meals by the organization and, if they won three in a row, the players would essentially be gifted a cheat day. Damn, Grady really impressed tonight. Perfect from three?? Hope Jacob is OK! He too was looking good tonight. That block on Siakam! Scottie too of course, with the triple double - some of his speed passes were insane. I'm trying not to get too excited here though - the wins have not been against strong defensive teams. I still think the Raps are going to need an off-season and for multiple players to take a leap before this iteration of the Raptors can work. But the good news is, it's not out of the question.

I really don't get Trent. He's an excellent shooter by any standard but we got him that way at a young age. None of his other skills have improved. Unless he has a great summer of development soon, he's going to find himself a bench player for the rest of his career. Probably not with the Raptors.

He reminds me of Ibaka in that you're going to be disappointed if you rely on him as a franchise cornerstone, but he'd make a hell of a 6th man for a championship calibre team. I was also a big Raef Lafrentz guy back in the day though so it's easy to get distracted by those shiny blocks and 3s and ignore the flaws

Well having Siakam as his PF isn't doing Turner much good. They can score, but theres no beef to stop even a small player from taking it to the hoop. The Pacers will take it as far as it can go and probably enjoy the ride for a while and then eventually realize they need to get bigger and tougher inside if they want to progress. Kind of like what happened during the Raptors rise.

After shooting around 25% from 3 the first few months of the season, Gradey is 55% from 3 his last 10 games and 47% from 3 the last 20 games

The shooting was great to watch but even better was that the Raptors looked like the tougher and meaner team! Scottie, RJ, Poeltl and Ochai were all bullying their way through the Pacers interior.

One of my favourite plays was watching a Pacer close out hard on Gradey at the 3 point line, only to watch Gradey blow by him for a layup all the way from the 3 point line to the hoop. If he gets more comfortable putting it on the floor that's going to become a huge addition to his game.
