Can he build off this tournament?
Could he be a sneaky good find for us? Can he elevate himself like some of our past PG's have?
I'm thinking along the lines of Calderon, Ford, Lowry, FVV. Maybe even Alston. Guys who came in with low(er) expectations but became solid pieces for us.

His whole career he's been a pretty up and down guy who has big games some nights and is almost invisible other nights, and I expect that to continue. Last year with the Lakers he had 11 games with 20+ points including a couple 30+ games. But he also had 25 games with less than 10 points, including lots of games where he was starting and playing heavy minutes. He can facilitate a little bit but you're in trouble if he's the primary distributor. I expect he can put up about 15 points/5 assists as a starter, which is excellent for a guy we got for a decent contract without overpaying. But by this point in his career it's probably his usual pattern of going stretches where he's putting up 20+ and looking like an all-star, and stretches where he's just not hitting shots consistently.

He's a decent scorer off the dribble and we need that badly. Also a passable defender. However he may not exactly be the greatest floor leader as a PG. We will have to see if he can take on some of that load. I don't really want everything to run through Siakam like last season. Siakam should be our isolation guy when the offense breaks down. Ball distribution needs to be a full team effort because we don't have a Chris Paul or Jason Kidd.
