So, anyone hearing the stories?
Are we surprised? Not really.
Waiting for more.
Oh... and...
As the FIFA president said the other day, "Today, I am gay..."

Ya the FIFA president knows true persecution now because he took a bribe and now people don't like him, basically the same trouble that gay people have faced, minus the millions of dollars or the choice.
Whole thing is a joke. I'm not a big soccer fan but i hope it fails miserably.

I am just adding a couple things because i find this stuff hilarious. I'm sure I'll miss a bunch so if anyone wants to add to it please do. Tournament gets announced to be playing here (apparently should have been Australia instead but got switched). Everyone rightly calls out the stupidity of the whole thing, obviously FIFA was bribed because they always are. Qatar is going to be horrible to play at because it's ridiculously hot there as well as all the general human rights they do not subscribe to.
2 days before the start of the tournament they ban selling alcohol at all.
They remove a bunch of paid fan supporters to bring some of the biggest fans to the event and involved different paid parts, i think it was supposed to be all expenses paid but is now no food/drinks.
FIFA president's stupid quote and being persecuted like a gay person or black, or whatever other bullshit he said.
FIFA now wants to remind gay people about their persecution by banning the OneLove armbands that a bunch of teams were planning to wear, OneLove being about LGBTQ groups of which Qatar is clearly against so FIFA gives in to Qatar buyers again.
Anything else?

That's pretty much spot on, Scully.
The hilarious thing is reading online comments from people DEFENDING Qatar. "It's their country, their rules." or "Nobody complains about the customs and rights in USA or other country.."
Sure, but very few, if any, countries have the LIST of atrocities as Qatar.

Anyone defending Qatar saying their country their rules is missing the point entirely, it should have never been in their country BECAUSE of their rules. Then you don't have any of these problems. Also pretty sure part of the agreement was that they allow these things and are going back on it last minute because now you can't do shit which is indefensible.

Wales rainbow hats were confiscated by Qatari. FIFA and Qatari are meeting with FIFA trying to tell the Qatari that they agreed to this before the tournament. Funny after allowing them to remove other rainbow like things that now is the time to push back. Either allow all or nothing, FIFA has no leg to stand on here now that they've already allowed removal of some rainbow things.

The Iran protests have come front and center as well. The anti and pro government protestors have been clashing.
Disgusting behaviour by pro-government men who have taunted and surrounded Iranian women at the games.

So ... game 3. And all the teams in Canada's group have everything to play for .... except Canada.
But at least we got another goal...
