There are two picks before me. Surely I won't get both of my targets. That couldn't possibly be in the stars for me. So how did it go?

Clearly no one has faith in rookies. I'm kind of surprised MCW was still available, he's a stat stuffer and his fg% looked better with the Bucks. Hopefully he continues to get better with his shot selection.

Ya I had MCW on my radar, fits well on my terrible FT% team and I could likely cover his low FG% and the rest is lovely. I'm confused by the Rookies as well, I remember in previous years the main option rookies were gone in the first round, hence me taking the obvious first pick, but I dont think any other were taken in the first.

The last two years rookies have been brutal. that more illustrates my point, people here don't have top quality 4 keepers and usually the rookies get grabbed up early to possibly supplement the keepers. This year actually has good ones too. Hence why I jumped all over it.

The last two years rookies have been brutal. I don't agree, I think it's been about average. You usually only have a handful of rookies who can contribute to a team in a given year most don't till the second half of their first year. I managed to get Oladipo two years ago at the draft. I picked up a few more young guys last year but my team took off early and had to sacrifice potential for production. Okafor and Mudiay are gonna be starters and major producers for their team. I'm not sure what Oakafors ceiling but I think Mudiay could be CP3-Like. He's a physically and mentally mature rookie.

Aww come on Springer... everyone was supposed to hate Rondo this year and leave him for me for the next round. Didn't you get the memo?

Sorry mate, the Great FireWall of China must of blocked the memo.
I hate Rondo as much as the next guy, but I had only one PG on my roster and I can see him having a huge comeback year.
On the bright side, random scrub is still on the board for you!

The first rule of fight club is that you don't talk about undrafted players.

Hey, Kevin Martin always produces when he plays. You're only gambling on his health and minutes. If both of those variables play in your favour, he's a top 50 player.

A Trudeau is our prime minister and I just drafted Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant. What year is it?

Good logic on Randle, seems to make a hell of a lot of sense.

Had to get my token rookie. I'm extremely worried/excited that my team is full of young guys (years 1-3). High ceiling and CRAZY low floor.

I'm sort of surprised that Russell lasted this long. He might not have the most impactful rookie season if (and it's a big if) Kobe plays an entire season, but he looks like he is very capable of being an elite PG in fantasy and I gladly have him in another keeper league. I think he went too low here and I'm a little upset at myself for not taking him last round.

He won't produce enough this season and won't be keeper worthy at years end. Simply too much depth at the guard rotation with Kobe, Lou, Clarkson and Swaggy, not enough SHATS.

I respectfully disagree. While I agree he won't entirely prove to be worth it on a full year value, I think he is going to be more involved in things that you think. He might not get a ton of shots, but he is way more important to this teams future and I think will get plenty of time on the court with decent enough stats, and once Kobe is not there (either when he is injured or retired) I think they will start giving him the ball and make plays more often and will jump up.

I think he's definitely going to be a guy you want to pick up next year. I just don't think he's going to be all that good statistically this year. A lot of Iso ball, plus randle is expected to handle the ball a bit.

See that's the thing about those 'next year' guys in keeper leagues. Chances are you won't get a chance at him if he has even a nice last third or quarter of a year. He'll be on someone's team and that someone will probably either keep him or trade him as a keeper for picks. I always make room in keeper draft for a couple of those guys and Ithe return on investment has been excellent for the most part.
In one of my other keepers I get a couple of extra high round picks out of guys like that pretty much every draft.

I'm surprised I landed Jabari so late in the draft. I'm not overly excited about his upcoming season, but he's a potential keeper.

I was going after Jabari with my next pick When the organization says that they will use him sparingly this year (they will play him 10 minutes if he's cleared for 20 minutes), it doesn't look good fantasy-wise this year, but if you're thin on keepers he's good to stash for next season.
